Kidz Talk: Providing Support for Children and Families

admin, Wednesday 5 Mar 2014

On February 17, South Western Melbourne Medicare Local in partnership with drummond street services, launched the child mental health service, Kidz Talk for children aged 0-11.
The program will provide a no-cost, enhanced service for children in the Hobsons Bay and Wyndham areas by supporting children at risk of developing, or who are experiencing mild to moderate emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties.
In addition to the Kidz Talk program, drummond street is also able to provide support to families with children and young people through the Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS).
Kidz Talk is part of the Australian Government’s Access to Allied Psychological Services Child Mental Health Service (ATAPS CMHS) initiative, and is funded by SWMML.
