What is Primary Health Care?

Primary health care includes the frontline services provided by GPs, community nurses, or pharmacists through to services provided by allied health professionals, such as dietitians, optometrists and physiotherapists.

Primary health care is not just about treating illness, it’s also about protecting and promoting the health of individuals and communities.

Our role, at SWMML, is to help communities and individuals take greater responsibility for their health.
