Practice Incentives Program (PIP)

The Practice Incentives Program (PIP) is designed to encourage change that supports quality care and reward general practices which are implementing these strategies.

It identifies areas that contribute to quality care rather than patient turnover.

The program provides financial incentives to practices that provide comprehensive quality care and are working towards meeting the RACGP standards. Payments made through the program are in addition to other income earned by GPs and the practice, such as patient payments and Medicare rebates.

To be able to access the funding practices must be accredited and registered with the Department of Health and Ageing. (DoHA).

To support general practices in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay, SWMML has established a group of eHealth professionals to assist practices in the accreditation process.

This specialised support will assist your practice to meet the Medicare criteria and to access ePIP funding of up to $50,000pa that is available.
