Child immunisation

It is recommended that all children in Australia receive the standard immunisation and school entry requirements apply.

New addition to the immunisation schedule

From 1 July 2013 a combination of measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) vaccine for children aged 18 months will be added to the National Immunisation Program. This MMRV vaccine replaces the MMR vaccine currently given to 4 year old children and the current varicella vaccine (for chickenpox) given to 18 month old children. More information here
